Are you looking forward to seeing it? Or do you think it will be stupid?

Also, I heard on the news the other night it was filmed at Lowe's Motor Speedway! Is this correct?

I think since Nascar seems to be promoting the movie it won't make Nascar look bad, plus Will Farrell is a fan! Oh well, it is a comedy...I think we can take the heat, lord knows we take it on Yahoo! Answers...lol!

From wikipedia.org :
"Although Talladega is in the title of the movie, only one week of shooting actually took place in Alabama. The rest of the movie was shot in North Carolina. Primary shooting locations included the Charlotte region of North Carolina (including Cabarrus County and Gaston County). Even race scenes taking place at Texas Motor Speedway were actually shot at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, NC. "

I'm am really looking forward to seeing the movie, like everyone else, I hope that it doesn't tarnish our sport. Will Ferrell is a funny guy, and every time I've seen him interviewed, he has always been very supportive of the drivers and their fans and of Nascar in general.

I guess we won't have to late too much longer, it starts this weekend!!

Yes I'd like to see the movie.I know the movie is a comedy which is not really my thing.but NASCAR is.I just hope they don't made our sport look stupid. Can you imagine the fuel for these NASCAR bash-er yahoo's.But NASCAR seems to be fully behind the film and is willing to support it's promotion so surely it will be okay.
I know at least part if not all of the film was shot somewhere other than Talladega, for one thing Talladega has no lighting for night racing. Also I don't remember anything in the paper about filming going on at Talladega.(I live really close) Lets all hope it doesn't put a bad light on our sport, but I guess in the end it's only a movie.

I think it makes a joke out of Nascar. I am, however, just going by the previews.
Kinda like Scary Movie makes fun of the horror flicks.

I think it looks hilarious!!But if you watch it to get a true feel for NASCAR, then you're about as smart as those who believe there's really a driver named Cole Trickle.

I want to see it cause it looks really funny. I think it should be called the life of Jeff Gordan except for the small fact that Jeff is gay. GO Junior
