I HAVE HEARD THIS "CLOMID" WORD ALOT HERE. I'M A PERSON WHO HAS BEEN TRYING TO CONCEIVE FOR THE PAST 8 MONTHS AND NOTHING YET. I HAVE TRIED TO WORRY ABOUT IT LESS AND SEE IF IT WORKS THAT WAY. I WILL BE SEEING A DR AT A FERTILITY CENTER SOME TIME NEXT MONTH. I JUST WANTED TO KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT AND WHAT I SHOULD BE READY FOR.

Clomid is a fertilty drug in the form of a pill. A typical starting dose is 1 50mg pill a day on cycle days 3-7. It induces ovulation.

Are you currently having cycles and if so, are they regular?
Are you doing temp. charts and if so, are they indicating ouvlation?

BTW, bytm says it's an antibiotic--this is incorrect--it's an Anti-Estrogen.

Clomid is actually a type of anti-biotic used for bacterial infections among other things. I didn't realize that it was considered a fertility drug, but now that I think of it, I did get pregnant while taking it even thought I was taking birth control.

Clomid makes the body think it is not ovulating (which it may not be) and tricks it into ovulating. I am currently on it
