Terry Farrell who played Jadsia Dax decided not to sign for the additional year past the original six year committment in order to get a larger role on a real network, instead of in syndication.

She begged the producers not to kill her character off, however they had plans for the character in the final seventh year and decided to kill off the "HOST" Jadsia and keep Dax in another host.

The producers even killed of Jadsia in a dumb way to make the death scene meaningless for the actress, a final kick in the teeth from Star Trek executive producer Rick Berman who is not the smartest peg in the board.

The first actress wanted to leave the show to do other work. She was on Becker and tv movies. So they decided to kill her off and have the simbiant go into another host.

i'd would desire to declare Spock... ever because of fact that I observed 'my' first episode (think of this became in 'seventy 9), i've got continuously been a brilliant fan of Spock (and the 'V' he makes together with his palms... tried that many many cases in the previous certainly having the flexibility to realize this myself). 2d on the record would be Picard and then records (i understand i understand - he's nearly an odd-ball, yet I nevertheless discover him interesting).
