My brother bought this game but the screen is far too dark to see the game. We have already updated our graphics card but the problem's the same. Anyone got any ideas?

i just finished playing that game - and i agree it is very dark. i have an adjustable monitor, so i tilted mine down, it really helped.

It might be the contrast or brightness like other people have suggested or it might be your graphics card.

If you have a NVidia graphics card like me there is a brightness and contrast setting on the settings panel for the graphics card too. So this might be the case as other graphics cards do the same too. For the Nvdia graphics card settings panel I just go to the display panel via right clicking on the desktop and clicking settings, there click advanced or settings and the panel of settings for the graphics card should appear. Hope it helps.

Try either titling your monitor if you can, adjusting the in-game setting for contrast/brightness if possible, or adjust your computer's contrast/brightness. The buttons for your monitor's brightness/contrast are usually right below the screen on the monitor.

You might want to try a gamma correction tool, like QuickGamma 2.0.

You can find it here (just scroll down a little),

There are some details on that site for using it. But, if you just play around with it, I'm sure you can get some decent results.

search on yahoo or google for a program called powerstrip. this can turn up or down the monitor brightness with a combination of keys on your keyboard.

Alternatively look in the games settings for something called gamma. if this is present... usually under 'video options' then turn it up and apply the settings.

Alter the contrast and/or brightness. Change settings in the game (if there are any) that affect the display

turn up the contrast and brightness.

Otherwise get the XBox version and play it on the telly.
