I like to learn about the Vietnam War era. My father served in the army in Vietnam so it has always interested me. Lyndon B. Johnson was president during most of the War (63-69) and Richard Nixon was the president in the later years of the war (69-74) Ho Chi Min was the president of North Vietnam (1954-1969) The first U.S. Military troops were sent to vietnam in 1965 but first got involved in 1961 and a cease fire was signed in 1973.

The 70's, because that was my teenage era and that time was so enlightening for so many people. Though it is known for the illegal drug use explosion, there were many good things about that time, too. Music had more meaning then, and people seemed to care more about mankind. War and killing seem to have taken over the world. Didn't anybody learn anything from 'Nam?

I find myself drawn to the Holocaust. My mom's family was from the Warsaw Ghetto, so it helps me understand some of the things they went through and why they are the way they are.

That's a good one :) I'd have to say the roaring Twenties; prohibition, flappers, cigars, all that jazz...sounds nifty to me :)
