I need an all purpose marker or pen that I can use to sign my paintings - oil and water and that will even write on mylar. Ideally this pen would write smoothly - even on rough surfaces and lastly the pen/marker would need to be acid-free. I need the brand name and if possible where it can be purchased. Does such a pen exist?

Sharpie just recently released the Sharpie Proffesional series. The pen says right on it that it writes smooth on rough serfaces. Avaliable at local wal-mart. I have also tryed some of the other claims. likeit writes in oil, and it does, i wrote on an oil covered bottle, washed the bottle and it was still there. I now have three packs handy in the house. And yes they do write smoothly- Liquid ink.

Sharpies! I just got a 12 pack of them at the dollar store! They're great! They come in lots of colors ans shapes and sizes. They're everywhere! Go to staples or Walmart, or Target, or like I said, the dollar store. You'll find them there.
