I tried calling the number but it is closed to incoming calls. Is there a reverse directory type source where I can track this number?

I did a reverse phone search with a company called Intelius. Had to spend $15 but now I know who it was. Thanks anyway, everyone.

can you ask them?
if the messages are threatening you should tell the police and they'll sort it out, if not I'm not sure there's much you can do!!
is it the number you want or the name of the person? coz if it's the number you might be able to find out by calling your cell provider.

I would try putting in "reverse cell phone search" in a search engine and see what comes up. But sometimes it is hard to find with cell phones especially if it is a prepaid one.
