Here are the lyrics - this is all I have to go on:
For the Spring the Spring is coming
Tis goodbye to all the snow
Yes I know it
Yes I know it
For the birds have told me so
Yes I know it
for the swallows have come back to tell me so
I'm afraid that is all I have - I'm trying to find out for my Mum - she is now in her eighties - and her Mum taught it to her - does anyone know what it is called.
It would make my Mum very happy if she knew what it was called and who composed it and if it is possible that there is even a recording of it - I would be eternally grateful.

Have now got revised sections of song to help with search:
When I open wide my lattice, letting in the laughing breeze
da da da da da da
da da da da da da
(chorus)
The spring the spring is coming
Tis goodbye to all the snow
yes I know it yes I know it
for the swallows have come back to tell me so
for the swallows have come back to tell me so
da da da da di di da
da da da da di di da
(chorus)
The spring the spring is coming
Tis goodbye to all the snow
yes I know it yes I know it
for the swallows have come back to tell me so
for the swallows have come back to tell me so
Where the rosy sun can see it, each night he goes to rest
Where the rosy sun can see it, each night he goes to rest
da da da da di di
da da dai da di di
The da da di di is obviously the lines we cannot remember - can anyone else help with this - thankyou to those who have already helped - my
Mum would really appreciate to know what it is called she thinks it may be called 'The Spring is coming'.
