Better stay out of the sun, and just keep putting a non-fragrant body lotion all over. I am sure it will turn to tan, but you better not go back in the sun too quickly while on your trip. Then when healed, be sure to wear sunscreen of at least 50.
You have lots of other great advise here already!.
Take care and try to have a great vacation! Just cover up!

You probably aren't going to get rid of it, and you may be miserable for a couple of days. Take some aspirin or ibuprofen to help with swelling, and put aloe vera gel on your burn. Don't use regular lotion or anything greasy, this will just hold in the heat. Drink lots of water & take care of yourself, because healing from an all-over sunburn is a lot of work for your body!

Depending on the severity, I doubt that it will be gone before you leave. If you were not wearing sunscreen when you went to the water park, you need to start wearing it now. When you get a sunburn it is recommended that you continue to apply suntan lotion afterwards to help the burn to tone down.
It really does help. Those aftersun gels, etc have a tendency to make things worse than better.

Pay attention to what BB said- absolutely correct. I would add that you sould NOT scrub it while it is still red- that will lead to scarring- and you need to stay OUT of the sun for a while. There really is a thing such as sun poisoning and if you think sunburn is miserable...!

Sorry, but this process can take days to wear down... I would suggest using aloe vera gel and/or hemp seed lotion. These two help the healing process much faster and saves your skin from any sun spot damage.

You can't. What you are describing is damage to your skin. Only time can heal that wound. Make sure you stay covered up, in the shade with tons of sunscreen on.
