this is the greatest position and it's my personal favorite.. sideways, not you and him lying on your sides, but you on your side and him kneeling on the bed frontwards...
ok, you lie down on your back, then slide left leg underneath his right knee, then start by putting your right leg up on his right shoulder, (just to get the penis in there), once everthing is in place, then you take your right leg and either bend it and hold it up, or (do this..) put your leg over your left leg, so you are on your side with your legs in a scissor position.. it takes a little getting used to just with all the moving around, but i am telling you once you get it... holy cow, he will c u m like a virgin.. !!! good luck and have fun.. peace.

Get yourself a copy of the Kama Sutra of Vatsyayana (sp)

The best position to conceive is, with the the woman on her back (The missionary position), with her legs drawn back, to shorten the path to her cervix.
That way the penis can be directly at the mouth of the womb and spray the semen directly in there.
The man has to be careful with his thrusting at that point, because in this position he does hit the back wall of the vagina, which if not done gently can cause damage.
Enjoy!
