How many black people are 100% black?

When ever i see a post about race there is always a black person saying that african americans are mixed...if so how arae they mixed race?

Because the slave masters would rape the black woman slaves, most of us have some "white" in our blood. This is why you have blacks of various complexions. Of course, not everyone was raped; some had relationships with whites and Indians. If one were able to trace his /her root (which is nearly impossible for a descendant of slaves), one would probably find another race in there somewhere.

Almost everyone on the planet is mixed with something else, either recently or in the distant past. When you realize that in pre-historic times only a few hundred thousand humans existed on this planet you come to the conclusion that everyone is really related, and more recently than you'd expect. But anyway, back to African Americans, we are a mixed people because there were many affairs, rapes, and relationships going on during slavery. Since black women were property, the owners could do whatever they wanted with them, and many did, not all, but many. So not all of us are mixed, but I'd say a majority. Also living alongside whites and native americans for so long, of course there are going to be mixed relationships, after all, we're all human beings. Just look at an African american and an African. Maybe white people can't tell, but most Black people CAN tell the difference. We do have different facial characteristics as well as skin color, and african americans have more "white" features.
