This is an uncomfortable question, and thanks to those who have responded, even if in anger possibly assuming I'm equating the two. Trying to get people to think about how it did/does/should BENEFIT THE REST of the world if any one ethnic or faith group makes such a claim (yes i am a member of one of those groups--Christians--for better or worse in others' eyes).

Hey History_wolf, wanted to read your answer and see it posted but apparently Yahoo has censored it?? What happened?? Please resend.

This is one of those debates that is meaningless, except that so many people die over it all the time.

It is as significant as whether you crack the egg at the large end or the small end, but I'm sure there is a group of people somewhere that wants to start a war over that.

Both claims are rooted in nonsense based on inferiority complexes. Jews learned writing from the Egyptians and philosophy from the Greeks and combined it to create a fable that was exported to the western world with the Jesus myths. The need to be 'chosen' came about because there was no talent attributable to that group (metalworking, art, etc.).

So-called aryan superiority myths arose in opposition to Roman and Greek culture. "We may be barbarians, but we are a superior race of barbarians, goshdarnit!"

I think everyone else in the world is tired of both groups' claims to fame.

The 'chosen' people seem to do nothing but suffer and the 'aryan' bloodlines are fast disappearing through intermarriage. Maybe it's all for the best.

Remember when you ask A question with religion, you won't get the same anwser twice. Jews are the chosen people, and the reason everyone doesn't become Jews is because it's something you're born into. Aryans are simply extremely racist. They originate from Hitler, and he destroyed millions.
