Is it just me or am I the only person that doesn't believe in astrology? How does the movement of planets determine a person's future and personality? I thought personalities developed within the first few years of a person's life and it was their living environment that helps shape one's personality, not the position of the stars.

I would suggest listening to Weird Al's song "Your Horoscope for Today." It's a funny song and a parody of astrology.

I think that Horoscopes are bogus. Your experiences and life lessons shape you. Not some mumbojumbo that some unknown person who doesn't even know you spouts out. The odds are that they won't even get it right. Your choices and friends and environment determine who you are.

If someone is lost (spiritually) and seeking answers then astrology can be very appealing. It has uncanny coincidences that can lead a person astray. I was once starting to "get into" astrology but I soon realized that any power it may have had would not be from God. I then looked back to my roots in Christianity and found the truth and have never looked back. Hallelujah!
PS - I'm not merely speaking of horoscopes. Astrology has many layers of so-called knowledge.

actually, astrology only does not determine future, but to a certain extent-personality.its really very weird how the planets movement can judge our lives, and trust me i was a hard core non believer of astrology.but now i believe because of its accurate prediction of my personalitry,remember-not my values,my outward personality but the complicated inner me.till date i m very different from my sun sign, but only outwardly.but i don't,and will never believe in horroscopes.if u are an open person,i suggest u to study a good book of astrology, then decide urself.though it seems very strange, believe me in terms of personality it is often correct.

yes, astrology doesn't help shaping one's personality,if someone have a concerned upbringing.it is only the primitive traits of ppl which can be overbeaten by upbringing, but never vanished.due to the contrast of our inner and outer nature,we r so complicated and astro is our inner nature.however, what is ur sun sign by the way?dob?letz see if i can say some traits of u and make u believe astrology.though remember ur upbringing can overbeat ur astrological traits, but will not VANISH them.thank u.

Astrology is not a belief, faith or religion. It is the study of planetary motion and how that motion relates to us on Earth. Therefore, I don't "believe" in Astrology.

Are Sun sign horoscopes and relationship compatibility based upon them accurate -- No!

Do I think that the study of Astrology based upon your birth date, birth place and exact birth time is accurate -- sure do. After 5000 years it's been extensively studied and perfected.

An ancient saying, still true to this day:

The stars impel, they do not compel. You always have free will.

Can Astrology be used to predict life trends? Yes, using transits, secondary progressions, solar arc directed charts, lunar returns and solar returns.

Can it be used to study relationships and compatibility? Yes, using synastry techniques, composite charts and progressed composite charts. And the Davison relationship chart if you wish as well.

Can it be used to pick wedding and surgery dates? Yes, using electional astrological techniques.

Astrology goes into a big bucket filled with things like God, magic, luck, supernatural powers, past lives, and witchcraft that I have a hard time swallowing.

I find it hard to believe how many people believe in any of those things.

What qualifies you as a person if you go around tearing down real peoples belief systems? Oh, a missionary? I hear that Jesus has a special punishment for your type.
