$5 per Tarot card reading, i think that is reasonable
and extra charges for other psychic readings

i think it is reasonable to keep the averge price of readings around $5-$8

Are you a psychic?
I would say start small and start off by giving sample readings to people you know or their friends. Word of mouth is going to be your best form of advertising. As for the price, donations. Once you prove yourself the money will be no problem. And by taking donations such as $25-$45 a session depending on length you may get tips and regular clients.
You can give me a sample if you want;)

My friend charges $1 per minute. So if your reading is short it wont cost too much, but if you really want to go in depth, thereby taking more time you will pay for that extra time. A flat fee isn' t fair to the reader sometimes.

personally, as a tarot and rune reader, i do not charge at all. i believe it makes one (as they used to say) a charletan. if someone chooses to reimburse me for my time, it is their choice, their "price".

i feel it generates bad karma to be charging for a gift.

for going rates in your area, however, just contact some locals and find out what they are charging.
