I'd suggest first looking into similar clubs in your area -- you may find one that already meets your needs. Or you may meet people not happy with the club that exists, who might want to go in a on a new club with you. The same might happen if you go to a car show in your area and meet up with others that share your passions.

If it's going to be based on a specific make/model -- inquire at the local dealer to see if they'd sponsor you and allow you to meet there.

Most enthusiast clubs have web pages or at least list their events on calendars on the web -- so search around.

My uncle started one up about 8-9 years ago...He just got people together that had cars started meeting and going to races, and got well known in southern Cali....His team is " Team 1320" thats how many feet are in a half mile race..I have his myspace if you want it ..he might be able to help you out...email me @ deezpumpkin@yahoo.com
