a. Read over what others have had to say first, and then formulate your answer?

b. Go with your first instincts / thoughts?

I will read any answers already posted before I answer the question. If theres an answer better than what I was prepared to give, I move on. I'll read any answers that appear after I answer. Occasionally, I edit after reading the answers.

Actually it depends. If there are just a couple of answers...I might read them, but if there are tons....I'll just answer. But I always go with my first instinct..even if I read others answers first.

I am definitely a 'B' person!!
However, if a question has hads loads of answers already,(e.g. over 35-ish) I often do not answer, because I suspect too much information/opinions/advice can be confusing.

3 out of twenty times per say,I see like the first 3 or 4 answers,then answer.

the rest of the seventeen times, i go with my first instinct.

just now, I looked at the first answers, so I could get the answer,at first I didn't understand what you wer answering

That would be "B", although at times I do correct mis- or dis- information if I see it before I respond.
