I need a new security system on my computer as my norton has expired and I didn't like it as it made my computer run slow

To roll your own free security suite for free use all 3 of these:
Avast Anti-virus:

Just make sure that all traces of Norton are uninstalled. Even leftover traces can interfear with other security programs. Norton can be very difficult to uninstall, but they have a removal tool for it at the Symantic website.

Try AVG Free Edition or i could give u sum softwares 4 cheap prices and unlimited usage so u dont have 2 worry expiry at all.

hi, i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar.
firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.
download firefox for free:

log on to www.grisoft.com and down load avg its a free basic anti virus software and then go to www. zonelabs.com for your firewall its free and very effective and they are both very simple to use but you may be wise to make sure that you uninstall any other firewall and anti virus programmes first

for a good allround security package combine avast( http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html)anti-virus,with spybot( http://www.safer-networking.org/) and adaware personal ( http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/) plus windows defender ( http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=435BFCE7-DA2B-4A6A-AFA4-F7F14E605A0D&displaylang=en) and a good firewall (http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/home.jsp)
this is a tried and tested combination ,i have used it for over 2 years and never suffer from virus or spyware
