My best cleaning tip was told to me by a lady who has 4 children. She told me many years ago that the dirt would be there when my children were gone. I remembered that and enjoyed my children, but didn't worry about little things around the house.

Well im a teenager, so i cant say much about cleaning the whole house, but i know about cleaning my room.

My room is so bad that there are piles of clothes and junk AT LEAST 2 feet high covering most of the floor.

every few weeks i have a friend come over (this works best with clothes) and we will go sit in my room. ill show her a shirt or something and shell tell me if i should keep it or get rid of it.

it helps alot, now i have half the stuff. and can actually go in my room without getting scared of the mess.

I am not a salesperson or a store owner, but my best tip is two things... 1.) get MR. CLEAN Magic Erasers- they really are magic and clean just about anything.
2.) clean one room at a time... make piles to take to other rooms when you are done, then move to the next room- only when the current is done.
This keeps you focused and you can really see results by the end of the day.

Start at the top. It's no good vacuuming & then wiping down the walls & getting dirt everywhere. You'd have to do it all over again.

Music. Turn it up. The more fun you can make things the better.

Unplug the phone. Distractions are a mood killer. Once you let yourself relax it is 10 times harded to get back into it.

Keep thing tidy once you're done. It'll make things easier next time.

Cleaning your garbage disposal. Use baking soda and vinegar. First pour the baking soda into the disposal - a couple of tablespoons should do it. Then pour some vinegar in after it - about a quarter cup should do it. It cleans the muck and grime out. You can also use egg shells. Just drop the shells into the disposal and run water and turn on the disposal. The shells are like little scrapers.....

best thing is get a friend to help. crank the tunes and get busy.

use multi purpose cleaning products

i clean the shower in a bathing suit or the buff. It lets you get the really clean shower in half the time.

windex is great for a quick shine in the bathroom if you have quest on the way.

Start at the top, and move down. If you are doing a thorough cleaning, vacuum or sweep down your ceiling and walls for cobwebs (even if you can't see them, they are there). Dust all of the furniture, wash all the windows. Take down your curtains and throw them in the laundry, you'll be amazed at how dirty they can get! Vac *** your furniture, then vacuum your rug. If you find that you get dust on your furniture after you vacuum, it is time for a new vacuum! Don't forget to hydrate yourself, and pace yourself. Put on some music and make a party of it. Good luck!

Get a plastic bin, put everything you will need to clean that area in it. (paper towels, duster, ajax, windex, rags, etc...) Start at the ceiling of the area, and work down toward the floor. Don't back-track, work your way out of the room.
Good music as you clean keeps it moving a little faster.
