Easiest way to do this is as follows:
1200 feet in 30 seconds = 40 feet/sec
Since 1 mile = 5280 feet
and 1 hour = 3600 seconds
we have: 40 (1/5280) miles / (1/3600) hour
=> 40 * (1/5280) * (3600) = 27.3 miles/hour

This is so easy you can practically do it in your head. 1200 ft in 30 secs = 2400 ft in 60 secs. Multiply this x 60 to get 144000 ft in 3600 secs, or in other words, 144000 ft per hour. Divide 144000 by 5280 (which is the number of feet in a mile) and you get...27.272727 mph. Now what do I get for not only doing your homework for you, but also giving you tips on how to do this yourself next time?

1 feet = x miles thus 1200 feet = 1200*x miles.
1 hour = 3600 seconds thus 30 seconds is 3/360 hour
netto 1200 feet per 30 seconds is 1200*x miles per 1/120 hour or 144000*x miles per hour. modulo errors

1 mile=5280 feet
1 feet = 1/5280 mile
1200 feet = 1200/5280 mile in 30 sec(as per ur problem)
in 1 sec 1200/(5280*30) miles
1 hour= 3600 sec
so in 1 hour (3600*1200)/(5280*30) miles
= 27.27 miles
so mph= 27.27

(1200/5280)/(30/(60 * 60))
(120/528)/(30/3600)
(5/22)/(3/360)
(5/22)/(1/120)
(5/22)*(120/1)
(600/22)
(300/11)
27.2727272 mph

1200/30=40 ft/s
1 ft= 12" and 1"=2.54 cm
therefore 40 ft/s=40*12*2.54=1219.2cm/s=12.192m/s
=43891m/hr=43.89kmph=27.43MPH

1200ft/30s = 40ft/s
1 hour= 60min *60s = 3600s
40ft/s * 3600s = 144000ft/hr
1 mile = 5280ft
144000ft/hr / 5280ft = 27.2727mph

1200ft in 30 seconds = 2400ft per minute
(2400ft/min * 60min/hr) / 5280 ft/mile
= 27.2727 miles / hour
