Cool! My memory of Sunday afternoon drives is just like that- we even called my grandfather Papa!

Oh yes indeed, we use to take the kids as far as Chicago for ice cream on a Sunday and we lived in Grand Rapids, Mi. a good 3 hrs one way. of course gas was a whole lot cheaper, those were the good ole days.

Yes I remember those. I live in Ga and we used to do that when I was little. I'm only 33, so don't think that I'm ancient! Now, I drive behind the few people that still do that. I have 4 kids and we don't do that because they expect to eat out, or actually be going somewhere.

Ah, the good ol' days. I used to enjoy getting an ice cream during the summer and a hot chocolate during the winter. We could drive for hours for no reason but now it's too expensive to drive around like that!

My dad would drive us through the country and we'd check out the nature. Or, he'd just drive until we found an interesting stopping point.

Yes, that was before gas prices hit the roof. Now you it's more expensive to go for a drive then go to the movies.
