i like this guy and he knows me as like an aquantance . I want to be his girlfriend how do i do that?

First find out if he likes you. If he does just ask him to do something that you both like.

Usually guys will almost never say no if a girl asks him out. So just invite him out to go to starbucks or get a bite to eat or watch one of your softball games. Whatever it may be, he will more than likely be flattered that YOU asked HIM.
Most guys are sooo afraid to ask girls out, so be the brave one and ask him!
Now to be his girlfriend, you two have to have gone on a few dates and see a chemistry there. You can't automatically be bf and gf without getting to know one another while know ing that you like him. He's gotta want you to be his girlfriend and the only way that happens is if you be yourself and he truly likes you for who you are.

just ask him in a daytime for a coffee :) , i don 't think going movie for the first time is a good idea ! and not go so fast in first place ..
just try to be friend for awhile then if he likes you you will see what will happen ;) good luck

ask him to go see a movie with you or someting then take it form there. See if you get any signals for him that he wants to be more than just friends. or you can just tell him how you feel
