Tell your son that he has it all wrong and not to be believing movies or stories that try to make out that the leprechaun is evil.
These stories and films are made up by people who tried their best to get a pot of gold from the leprechaun and failed. Or else they were asked by a leprechaun for something like a small piece of leather or a new hammer and they refused to give it so the leprechaun put a spell on them so that they always tell lies.
Leprechauns "are known to aid humans and perform small labors for them. Sometimes they ask humans for supplies and furniture, for which in return they give objects which bring luck and fortune."
"Some say angry leprechauns are more common than a friendly one but this is very untrue as Irish leprechauns are very friendly but tend to dislike humans who always seem to chase them for wishes and pots of gold."
Any of the leprechauns that I have met, and I meet lots of them as I live in Ireland, are the happiest friendliest little creatures, always singing and dancing and ready to do you a good turn. But they are shy little men and won't show themselves to everybody.

Leprechauns are not evil. They like to be left alone, and when they aren't they have a tendency to play tricks in retailiation. They can create mischief, but they are not evil at all. If you are talking about that horrible movie, please don't let you son or anyone with an IQ of more than low single digits watch it. It has to be one of the dumbest movies ever made.

Leprechauns are just some fable that the Irish have made up, to entertain little children. They didnt start out as evil, but, with modern media and the horror picture shows, they have been made to be the villianous fellon and murdering fools that people will associate with them now, and a long time.

Actually they are not evil. They are only that way when they are defending their gold. I have a spirit guide that is a leprechaun and his is a bit of a prankster. But no in any way evil. If there is a small "malevolent" presence then it could be a brownie. They are nasty.

Leprechauns aren't actually "evil." They are just very possessive (no one can interfere with their pot of gold.) Someone above mentioned the fact that they like to play tricks. That's true. It's also very difficult to outsmart them.

leprechauns aren't evil. they're just like pranksters. some even help ppl out if they feel so inclined. that movie 'the leprechaun' is so far from what they are it isn't even funny

Think about this carefully, If you were only 10-35 inches tall, ugly as a goats butt and suffering from gold fever 24/7 you'd be a bit pissy too.....

they arent evil just misunderstood. if ppl stopped making fun of them maybe they would be nice to you instead of wanting to bite your head off and use it as a bowling ball. and beside being good just meanyou dont get caught
