Stress can delay ovulation and that in turn will delay menstruation (since the post-ovulatory portion of the cycle remains fairly constant.) So yes, if your cycle starts at the beginning of the month it can delay the ovulation which would have normally occurred about mid-month. Once you've ovulated, your period will some 12-16 days later (unless you're pregnant, of course.) As for how long ovulation can be delayed, well that's up to your body to determine.

I think it depends on the severity of the stress, whether it is on-going, and what time of the month you get the stress.
Take some time out for yourself to get some regular moderate exercise. It will not only release some endorphins and make you feel better, but it will help with the cramps.

Longer than you want. Which is stressful. So it is delayed even longer. Sorry. Take prenatal vitamins since you are clearly worried that you are pregnant. Some athletic women have no periods. But they are not worried since they use reliable birth control methods.
