My roommate "best friend" only pays 250.00 a month and her girlfriend slept over 24 of the last 31 day. She gave no money for toiletries or any bills. We know our roommate does her girlfriends laundry and that she has taken a few showers. She never cleans up after herself but she does use our electric and our computer and our electric bill has gone up atleast $50. If u think she should pay please give some ideas on how to approach the subject.

Sit her down and tell her if she is going to stay for most of the month then she needs to help out somehow. Tell her that it is hard enough to pay your own way but to have to pay hers too. Is this girl homeless? She should have her own place to stay at and your roommate can go over there. She won't like the idea of her having to pay anything so you may be seeing less of her.

Yes, she sould pay rent. I think you need to tell her that if she doesn't want to pay bills then she shouldn't use any lights, water, food, tv etc.

Just let her know she's welcome to hang out,and chill or whatever, but to be fair,it would
help everyone out alot if she could pay for a
few things.
