It worked for me, but one thing you need to remember is that you've got to take care of your skin and body on a daily/weekly basis....
~SKINCARE~
-You will need: Cleanser, Toner (or Astringent), Cotton Balls, Moisturizer, Mask (or Masque), Extractor (found at most beauty supply stores), and either a facial steamer or hand towel for steaming.
-Morning and night (before going to bed): cleanse, tone, and moisturize. For blackheads, clogged pores, etc. 2-3 times a week include steaming in these steps (in this order: cleanse, tone, steam, tone, moisturize).
-Once a week: cleanse, tone, steam, exfoliate, tone, *extractions, tone, mask, tone, moisturize.
*IF NEEDED, for pimples, blackheads, etc. Don't begin doing extractions until you have been following all of the other steps for at least 2 weeks, so that the steaming will have caused the blackheads to begin to soften.
-How to: *
Cleanse -use a small amount and lather with water, apply using circular motions all over face and neck, repeat if you have makeup on
Tone - Squeeze a small amount onto the cottonball and wipe all over face and neck
Steam - for 10-15 minutes, use one of these methods - facial steamer, hold your face 3-5 inches above steaming water, or drape a hot towel over your face (leaving your nostrils and/or mouth exposed)
Exfoliate - follow the same steps as in cleansing, but don't repeat
Extractions - place the hoop (or eye) over the blemish (or blackhead) so that the blemish is in the center of the hoop, apply slight pressure and use rocking and rolling movements all around the blemish (don't use so much pressure that you create indentions or bruises on your skin), if and when the blockage comes out of the pore, wipe away with a cottonball that has been dampened with toner
Mask - apply mask evenly on face and neck, leave for 10-15 minutes, remove by draping a hot towel over your face, then wiping away
Moisturize - apply a small amount on face an neck and massage until it's absorbed
*In all of these steps, always avoid the eye area.
~VITAMINS/MINERALS, DIET, & EXCERCISE~
Each day, include a multivitamin and try to maintain a fairly healty diet and exercise routine. Also see this site about vitamins and the skin: http://healing.about.com/library/uc_acne_0209c.htm. If you take any of these vitamins in addition to your multivitamin, be sure you aren’t going over the recommended dosage

When I first tried proavtiv it didn't work and my acne wasn't even that bad. It was just on my forehead and chin. But then they told me about the extra strength treatment. I tried it and that cleared it up in like two week. While I still do get some breakouts once a month, when I use the treatment right it works and clears it up quickly. So if the regular strengt doesn't work for you don't be discouraged try the extra strength at the same cost. What do you have to loose.. its a money back guarantee. If you don't see some type of changes in a month send it back!
Here is another tip- if you do get the extra strenght use the lotion for about three days then uses it every other day ( and repeat that process) because it dries out you skin especially the parts that acne really doesn't not come on.

My sister ordered some and she broke out after using it so she gave it to me. I was really pleased with it. I could tell a difference in the first couple of weeks. My skin was clear and smooth. i just loved it. I think it is worth a try-you can always send it back and get your money back if you have a reaction to it. I just ran out and started using soap and man can I tell the difference. I am going to order some more for sure.

Proactive worked for me. But I was only able to use one treatment (bottle) because after prolonged use, it chenically burned my skin and it started turning pink.
Btw, I used it correctly and consistently (morning and night, clenaser, toner and lotion. That might be difference with the ones who had no results.
This was about 12 years ago.

Hi, I have a friend that has been using Clear Advantage from Arbonne and it has worked wonders for her. She is 30 and has tried everything out there. If you want to check it out you can find it at www.wonderful.myarbonne.com in their online catalog.

no it doesnt work. oyu have to stay on it until you grow out of acne and that can be costly, as soona s you stop using it, your acne comes back wihta vengence, and my dermentologist told me not to get it becasue it does not have enough acne medication in it, although i had already treid it, you should try Clearasil, its not girly lol.
