Same goes with wings or flippers or any other "body modifications" you can think of. With the advent of transgenics (the "mixing" of human DNA with animal, once upon a time known as lycanthropy)these sorts of fashionable adjustments to our bodies MAY become possible. Would you find this development cool or frightening ?

Tail yes, a vertically flat one like a gator to help me swim. Wings yes, but only if I could really fly with them.

It would be neither cool nor frightening, but just weird, and something to adjust to. I would only want a tail if it were prehensile, and gills and wings would be nice. That way I could fly and I could stay underwater for a long time, too. In fact, if I could only have one, the gills would be it. Being amphibious would be sooo much fun. But we'd have to do something about my ears because I have trouble going more than a few feet deep.

I'd take a tail without a moment's hesitation (the ladies would love it!), but under three conditions:
1- it's prehensile.
2- it's fluffy, not just covered in the kinda hairy skin typical of the rest of the human body.
3- I could let it just hang down the inside of my pants if I was attending a dignified social or business function.

I think a tail would get in the way, Gills would be nice and an extra set of eyes in the back of my head and an eagle eye in between my normal eyes. I would prefer nano bots that repaired old tissue and kept me alive and regenerated Of course if I ever did Die, the nano bots would probably turn me into walking zombie with only the reptilian part of the brain being regenerated and a constant need to feed. In that case shark teeth would be useful. But honestly I'm just hoping they perfect penis enlargement that would be good enough for me.

If I could I would look just like a panther human hybrid with bat wings and a tentaqle like tail 360 degre mobility and I would have feline slit eyes and horns like lorne from the show "angel" and long flowing white hear on my head.

I'd go for the wings and the prehensile tail. I think I'd look good with a sort of feline-looking tail and a hawk's wings.

No, I think that I'm pretty happy with all of my imperfections and I wouldn't change a thing. I think that if that ever came to be, I would be very frightened at the endless possibilities of what people could do.

No need.If ever human can make these body modifications it would'nt be as functional as the entities having these.Body modification is more of going back to a primitive state.

No, a tail or any of the other modifications mentioned would sort of get in the way. Besides, they'd make your clothes fit funny.
