i have noticed in the past few days in my panties clear snot like stuff, lots of it. i am already dilated 2.5 and 50% effaced as of this past friday. i just wish my water would break or contractions would start. with my first son my water broke and then my contractions started a few mins after and i was only in labor 5 hours, had him naturally. any chance this pregnancy would be faster?

and my dr is on vacation this week. so the other dr is only seeing his patients unless there are emergencies. i read that the plug doesnt have to be blood tinged.

Losing your mucous plus is not a sign that you are going into labor. However, since you are all ready dilated, you should not have too much longer, but your doc should be able to give you an estimate as my doc, with my 2nd, told me that I would not go until the next Monday and he was born on the Friday before, so he was right!

Although I'm definitely no expert and have plenty of questions myself...I just wanted to let you know that I have been slowly losing my plug for a week now (since my membranes were stripped), and it only had blood in it the first day. So it's normal not to have blood in it. I have also been having pre/false labor since Sunday morning. And I am only now dialated to about a 2.5 to a 3. So I guess it's normal to have both of those things happen and still not going into labor for a while. This is my third pregnancy, and with my first two I was induced. Although my second was a lot faster, 6 hours compared to 24 hours. So I would expect this one to be at least a little faster for you. Good luck with everything, you're lucky to be going so early...I'm already 5 days overdue.

It sounds like your plug. I lost mine little by little and by 35 weeks it was all gone, according to my OB. I was fully effaced and dialated to 2 by 38 weeks and didn't have the baby until 7 days after that checkup, so it could be any minute, or you could go another week. My labor was only 2 hours long, and I was told that chances are it would be even faster next time. Good luck!!

Sounds like you lost your plug. Second babie usually come faster than first ones, but that's not always the case. Also it could be either hours or weeks after you loose your plug that you go into labor. But it is a good sign that things are moving right along.

if the mucus was clear it may not have been the plug. the plug is usually tinged with blood. being 50% effaced means you probably have a few more days. try walking and eating papaya that is either over or under ripe, sounds crazy but produces pitocin which starts contractions.

When you loose your plug it isn't clear it's pinkish it sounds like incresed vag discharge (norma) it's hard to say if u'll have this one faster alot of women need to wear liners because of this
I was dialated that much at 28weeks and effaced so again it's hard to tell but the baby will come in its time noome than 3weeks left but i bet between next week and early the following

Sounds like you may have lost your plug. I lost mine with my last two pregnancy's and never went into labor but was induced a week later. Do alot of walking and if you have a partner have a lot of sex. Orgasm makes your unterus contract. You may also want to inform your docgtor you have lost your plug because once you do it is easier for bacteria to get in. I hope you have a safe and healthy delivery and baby!

I am only 20 weeks and have the clear/white dishcharge, and it is normal. The mucus plug usually has red or pink in it. If you are concerned you could always call your doctor though.

yeah loseing ur plug is normaly a sign ur gonna have ur baby soon.. try having sex it will help speed it up and yes it is okay to have sex while pregnant most doctors incourage it
