Everyone always says that gunshots sound like "fire crackers" going off, so I would probably be thinking (as bullets whizzed around me), "I wonder what the celebration is?" Most people think of Canada as being quite safe, but these last few years have seen a sharp rise in gun-related crimes.

If I hear "what sounds like a gunshot" then it's probly not that close or I would know it was a gunshot so my first thought would be to watch the next local news broadcast to see if something happened near me. USA :)

I'm from the southside of St. Louis, MO in the USA and when I hear a gunshot I dive to the ground. Someone is getting shot at....or it could be fireworks.

I sent you email to tell you that I find you a very interesting person to talk with because your outlook in life is balanced and you are curious to know the various philosophies in life. No matter how you look like, your intelligence make you very very very beautiful in my eyes. But yahoo said my email did not go through because the recipient\'s (You) email address has not been confirmed. So confirm your email first.
Hearing gunshots makes me guess what type of weapon was used.

I live in the US, and in the northern part. When I hear a gunshot I think of someone practicing using a gun for hunting, or someone hunting. It doesn't freak me out.

Well since the 4th of July just passed a bit ago, (United States), I figure that some kid has a few fire crackers left over and that they are exploding them off.
If its gunshots however, its usually uptown, so it doesnt affect me where I live.
I wish you well..
