my answer to kaadbear is i already used the word disproportionate and excessive force. by air bombing it killed children and civilians and indirectly strengthened the hands of hizbolla .people who had no sympathy towards hizbolla are now turning towards them and its commander all of a sudden became a national hero.if the war goes more ladens would surface and even moderate muslims become terrorists and if they are not capable to strike at israel, they wage zihad against vulnerable countries like india.

I think WAR for ANY reason with ANYONE dying is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!!! Yes, it is tragic and I keep wondering when the world is ever going to learn anything from our past.... It's a wonder to me that some alien life-form hasn't decided to put our planet up for annihilation.....but then again, that would make the aliens as "primitive" as we, and what would be the chances of that?

I agree that Israel may be taking things a little too far (especially if they pursue a ground offensive), but the reason that many innocent civilians are being killed is due to the fact that the Hezbollah guerrillas are deliberately placing themselves in the midst of the civilian population for this exact reason. They know this is going to bring global condemnation down on Israel, that's why they're basically pushing those women and children in front of them to take the bullets. And besides, I regret saying this, but I think that this may be a necessary evil because who knows how many Jews and Westerners Hezbollah or other Jihad groups could and would kill if given the chance. The more I think about it, the more I'm starting to side with Israel (not for religious "Christian fundamentalist" reasons, but for political and humane reasons). I mean, Israel has tolerated over 20 years of suicide bombings, being threatened anihilation by their Arab neighbors, and most recently, having Hezbollah rockets fired on their cities. There is nothing more that I want than for a Jewish state living side by side peacefully with a Palestinian state. And as far as I can tell, the Israelis have been bending over backward. They've given up most of the West Bank, Golan Heights, and the Gaza Strip. It's becoming more and more evident though that the Jihadists won't be satisfied until the Jews are "wiped off the face of the map" (as quoted by the Iranian president). Until we can come up with a better solution, we should let Israel do what they feel they should do to protect themselves. Peace is what we all want, but it's not going to happen until both sides learn to share and coexist peacefully. And that goes for the Israelis AND the Palestinians and their Arab allies.

The proper question should rather be: Is Hezbollah using civilians as shields is a proper reason for Israel to kill those civilians? I do not believe that Israel is deliberately targeting civilians, but I don't think that it cares about that no more, and that is what terrorism is all about.
In the past there was some hope of peace, now there is no more.

Israel should keep doing what it was doing but stop running around. It so hard to hit a Jew if they keep running around.

Israel has been taking fire from the Gaza strip for a long time. they saw Hezbollah moving missiles up. Then a raid that got 8 men killed and two taken (by the way there were others taken but who is counting(just Jews you know)) So They got sick of being hit so they hit back hard.

I find the irony of Israel's founding and it's behavior to be striking as well. I wish the Jewish community in the U.S. would stop their blind allegiance to Israel and see how barbaric it's foreign policy has become. Destroying a country, killing children and civilians, and displacing 1 in 5 people is not self-defense. It's call proportionality.

The Arab countries has to settle for Israel exists, and take care of the Palestinians like different arabs. as that's now, they are held in poverty so all of us is to verify how advise Israel is. yet once you comprehend this is the Arab countries no longer accepting their loss - or "loss", Israel belonged to the jews till now the arabs took it, so the arabs have merely lost land that they had stolen, like Spain became taken decrease back from them- this would possibly not artwork on you. Imaging each and all of the arabs expelled from Spain residing in eternal and depressing camps interior the northern Morocco at an identical time as all of us tried to make it look like the Spaniards became superb evil to have retaken their land- it could have been an identical ingredient. the only reason that's occurring, is the Arab countries think of they are able to cajole the international into questioning Israel would desire to be destroyed. the answer is to make the arabs accepting their loss, and accepting the palestinians into Saudi-Arabia, Jordan and Egypt as voters. as that's now, there are regulations against giving the palestinians citizenship in those countries, through fact it may harm their declare of having "decrease back" Palestine! So the arabs hates Israel better than they love their very own human beings. No different tribe has ever dealt with their very own human beings this undesirable. The arab deaths are a consequence of the Arab countries making use of the Palestinians as expendable pawns in a chess game. So your question is per an incorrect view of the comprehensive difficulty.

I don't really think that Israel has any right to the land they currently occupy. I read Queen Noor of Jordan's autobiography, and everything that Israel has done and is now doing seems horrible from this different perspective. They had no real claim to the land there, and European leaders had no right to give it to them. Everything involving Israel seems like they are almost getting what they deserve for invading Arab land.

Do you feel that the Liberal hero FDR used disproportion at force against the Japanese? How many Civilians died to end WWII. How many German Civilians died in the bombings that the RAF did? What is Israel supposed to do keep count. . ."okay 5 of our guys died so give us 5 of yours" This equality of response stuff is just stupid.

I agree. I feel that Israel has gone too far. It’s about time that our country (U.S.) stop sending them blank checks to kill so many innocent civilians. We need to put a stop to this Israeli oppressive war.
