I've developed a strong attraction and genuine affection for my manager. We are both married with two kids each and he does not know how I feel though he probably suspects it. Even if the feelings were mutual, we can't pursue a relationship for the obvious work/family issues. I have to work with him daily and can't seem to put the feelings to rest. How do I get over him and not want what I can't have?

Actually, if you can continue and work with him thinking that things are going to be OK without going any farther, you are a strong woman. Temptation will wear both of you down in time if you insist on pushing the issue, and it will be unexpected & still cause the ultimate mistake. If possible, one of you need to make a department move if you want to avoid this from happening.

How do you get over him and not want what you cant have ? Grow up. Your married with 2 kids and your acting like a teenager. Your falling for your manager and calling it a crush. I dont think I even used that word in junior high school. You need to stop being selfish and think of the other 6 innocent people involved.

You two need to have the kind of sex that will rub sores on each others genitals. Meaning rough and of a very long duration. Do crazy things you havent even seen in porno, and debase each other in every possible way. This is the most cathartic action possible in this situation. You wont want to look at each other in any way other than professional after that.

Good luck, just call if you need ideas.

You control your feelings, your feelings do not control you. Keep your affection to yourself, it will eventually wear off and go away. Grass is not greener out there, he's just as human as your husband and the rest of us. Don't concentrate on what you "can't" have, but on what you *do* have.

If you feel there's a problem in your marriage, try to work on it directly, rather than escaping into an imaginary world.
