i dont like melo..i think he is very overrated and has some flaws to his game...but if you are comparing him to rich jefferson...melo has to be better overall....for some strange reason rj lost some of his progress when vince carter came on board...he still has the opportunities but he seems only able to produce semi spectacular games at best...he has lost his "on the rise" status and has become only a superior complementary player...a poor man's scottie pippen...melo still has more scoring prowess as well as more killer instinct than rj...he also has better post moves reminiscent of bernard king....and melo still has room to improve while RJ's potential seems to have hit the ceiling already....melo averages over 25 points and has proven deadly to opposing teams...rj on the other hand still languishes in the shadow of vince carter and jkidd and seems content being the 3rd wheel in jersey...

No, Richard Jefferson is better. He scores at least 20 points per game. while Carmelo scores like 18 points per game. Richard Jefferson is good at shooting 3's, rebounds, assists. while Camelo only plays so babyish. Richard Jefferson is even more experienced he has been in the NBA since 2001 while Melo has been in the League since 2003. Carmelo has never carried Denver Nuggets passed the first round of the Playoffs since he is been in the NBA. While Richard Jefferson has carried the New Jersey nets to the finals twice, (2002-2003). i think Carmelo is overrated. He needs to go to College to improve on his game. Richard Jefferson is an all round player. And he is Far better than Carmelo. Melo just earns more. Melo stinks.

How can you even compare the 2? Carmelo is a superstar. Richard Jefferson is a nobody.

I'm a massive Richard Jefferson fan. Absolutely love his game. That being said, put Jefferson in Melo's place on that team in Dever and the Nuggets would not have made the playoffs. Simple as that.

Yeah, I think he is. Richard Jefferson is hard in the paint, Carmelo is better all-around.

Boy, the proof is in the pudding and Carmelo is awful sweet to watch, gotta go with Anthony all the way.

Yes. Jefferson is one of the most overrated players I have ever seen. He can't create his own shot, he only attacks the rim on the break, and his jumpshot is inconsistent.
At least Melo can shoot.

Why would you even put dude in comparison with Melo? Melo is thirty times better than him.
