How does Israel beat Hizbollah?

3. Strategic attacks. the terrorists have to be eliminated strategically, killing the leaders one by one without direct involvement. intelligence plays a major part here too.

4. Ever vigilance. keep the home bases covered with high and consistent security.

5. Zero diplomacy. it does not work. no terrorist group has ever laid down arms bcoz of diplomacy. it never works.

6. No continuous engagement. Terrorism unlike war feeds on retaliation. Battle is essential to maintain its strengthand to justify its purpose. Engagement shold be short and precise without giving way to the media or public speculaton and debate.

7. supportive media. the media must be used, even shamelessly to ensure that the terroriss are unable to sensationalise and get their message across.

8. The action must be unwaivering. Terrorism basically feeds on hope. any backing off or hesitation sends a message which has a multiplier efect. it gives confidence as well as justification.

ps: i agree with what israel has done. but they have to do a better media management job or they may undo all the military gains.

HOW do they beat them? By not fighting a PC war. That means if you kill civilians, put it behind you and keep on killing the terrorists. In any war you're going to have dead civilians, but instead of calling a cease fire because the other side has hurt feelings, you need to INCREASE the bombing and carnage.

Kill them before they kill you. Israel should actually use one of it's nuclear weapons on Lebanon to prove a point to the rest of the mideast - that if you mess with the Jews you get the fireball.

First off.That land belongs to muslims.The UN somehow removed all the muslims off of that land about 50 years ago.And I don't know how you can make people happily leave thier land.I wouldn't be sirprised if a lot were murdered.That war must be.Read books on religions first and then ask YOURSELF about why that war is taking place.

If they want to stop the ideology though, they need to stop killing to start, and bring in a third party to negotiate. The more innocent people they kill the more people they drive to Hezbollah's (and other anti-Israel organizations') side.

Bombing and killing by either side will solve nothing......innocent civilians getting killed merely fans the flames on both sides and both sides in their hearts believe they are right. Nobody is going to "finish" anybody off. Hate breeds hate and in the meantime innocents die. It's a tough question.......I wish I had the answer....
