Yes it is a sin; however it is not an unpardonable sin. Suicide is never mentioned in the King James Version of the Bible.

Catholics believe suicide when committed in full knowledge and deliberate consent is a complete turning away from God (a mortal sin) and will send a person to hell.

There are 3 conditions of a mortal sin: grave matter, full knowledge, and deliberate consent.

While suicide (or any kind of murder) is always a grave matter, people who commit suicide may not always have full knowledge of what they're doing. Drugs can definitely impair one's thinking, as can other things, such as diseases, intense pain, or anguish.

Therefore, suicide is not automatically treated as a mortal sin.

We are commanded by Christ not to judge others so we leave final judgment to God who alone knows each person's heart.

With love in Christ.

You sort of have to be out of your right mind to commit suicide, don't you?

Is it really murder or killing?

Killing is a sin in certain circumstances, but not in others. Murder is a sin.

And...why is this in the Fast Food section? If you are talking about the drink Suicide...YUCK! What a horrible thing to do to that soda. ; )

Is dying a sin? is killing a sin? is overeating a sin? It's all a matter of opinion. So the best question I could put to you is, "What is worth your life?"

No, there is no such thing as sin. That's just another bit of brainwashing from religious zealots.
