What bothers you more about Mel Gibson?

I cant decide what bothers me more.

The fact that he made antisemetic remarks - which he has confimed and apologized for (sincerity is a whole other issue)

Or the fact that he tries to run and told the cop that he owns malibu and that the cop would regret this.

The hatred is bad, but what about the arrogence that he thinks he is soooo special?

What bothers me about this particular situation is the entire scope. I received a DUI once and I wasn't drunk. The DA went after all the witnesses at the scene and they all said the same thing: "He wasn't acting drunk, nor did we smell any alcohol on his breath". Yet I got alright! To add injury to insult; the arresting officer's partner ask me to drive my car off the freeway. If I was drunk why have me to drive?

My point; Mel Gibson got off easy because he was white, a superstar, and in the past was a spokesperson for the LA Sheriff's Department, not to mentioned made financial contributions to the Sheriffs.

Any guy who would make antisemetic remarks, evade arrest, and threaten to harm a officer of the law, would be still locked up. Our laws should be fair and not prejudicial. What type of message has been sent to those like me (non-guilty) and others who were guilty, but had to pay a price? By the way; Mel's been pulled over three times at least; with no arrest for speeding twice; what's up with that?

Mel's actions just prove that just because you follow the bible, does not make you a better person.

None of the above. He is another human being with the spot light on him. How would you feel if your every word and move was scrutinized by everyone? You apologize but no one really cares, all they care about is the dirt that was finally gleaned on you. They are now saying his career is over by one stupid mistake, how sad and narrow minded.
