Yes or no...long toenails are creepy and french manicuring them does not make them any less gross?

I have noticed a trend here in Texas...letting your toenails grow way too long and then painting them with a white stripe equivalent to a highway meridian strip....this is NOT making them any less attractive...and you can get fake toenails now too! This is a sign of the apocalypse!

So your vote please?....ladies..where should your toenail end?

Toenails should be as short as you can make them without hurting yourself!

Just a little hanging over. A nice trim. They can give really nice pedicures without having all that length. I have also seen the fake toe nails in Mississippi. I don't understand why anyone would want their toenails that long. It is gross.

OH MY goodness! I totally agree!! I live in Texas too and I've noticed the same thing, especially with older women. I think it is absolutely disgusting and it looks unkept to me, yet they still paint them, even if they are long enough to poke someone's eye out! I have to keep my trim and short, and then I paint them. I think they look cuter that way. The only reason I can think that they grow them out is so they make their toes appear thinner OR they are just too dang lazy to cut them so they just paint over them. UGH I have no idea but good question! I'd always wondered why it was such a trend...and a gross one at that!! :)

Yeah, long toenails that are frenched manicured are creppy and disgusting. I have short toenails; they are short and painted. They are filed down nice and evenly with the other toes. They are not so long that they are trying to compete with the size of my fingernails! (which, in some cases, some are doing).
And, what is with the fake toenails? Are your toes that hideous that you have to put fake ones on? That, to me, is ridiculous! My god, if that is happening in Texas, I wonder if it started to happen up here and I have just not noticed it! (By the way, live in Northern New Jersey, part of the Tri-State of N.Y., N.J. and Con.)

I have seen these toenails you speak of and they are disgusting to say the least. I don't know who lied to these women and told them that it was cute but they are sadly mistaken. I live in Houston, TX. and they are everywhere. Ladies...cut your toenails you look like cave people walking around here. Might as well grow hair under your arms and carry a club. YUK!

In case you're not getting enough "ladies" to vote, this man here, a Texan since birth, says women's toenails should end where the toe does, at their longest. And, keep them clean. You can't paint the dirt from unwashed feet away, or the fungus that grows from untended feet. If you don't care for your own cleanliness, please keep those ugly, smelly monsters you walk around on covered up! God Bless you.

Yes, long toenails are creepy and gross. Short and painted with colored nail polish, no French manicure for toes!

Well I don't care for long toenails either. They make it easier for you to get dirt or lint up in there and that is pretty gross. I clip mine all the way down.

Toenails and fingernails should be kept nice and trim or else they look gross! Have you ever seen those women with the long fingernails? They look like they have claws!
