no there is no way for anyone to tell BECAUSE of the fact that the hymen can also be broken by any means other than sex.

The hymen is supposedly the true indicator of whether you are sexually active or not. However, the hymen can be torn in other ways, such as sports, etc. Most doctor's office have a medical questionnaire that asks if you are sexually active. You do need to be honest on your health questionnaire. Your ob/gyn is under obligation by HIPPA to protect your personal health information, so anything you tell you doctor is strictly between you and them.

you can break the hymen by just inserting a tampon for the first time, exercising or playing sports. some woman have a very thin hymen or non at all. The presence or absence of a hymen in no way indicates whether or not a female is a virgin. but i'm sure that there are other physical indications to whether or not a girl is a virgina. OBGYN's look at vagina's all day i'm sure they can tell one way or another.
