is ther any law that will make him at least interview minorities or hire them. I've never seen a company this size with only 2 black people working? Who can I report this to in Milwaukee, WI?

I thought that it was a state regulation to hire minorities can some one please help me. I've asked other employees why there are not any minorities and some just looked at me and laughed.

I'm not trying to make it seemed that companies should pick minorities over everyone else but it pains me to black people with the same qualifications as other be denied a job because of there race

It does not matter what race that i am, the fact is my company does city construction jobs and I feel that minorities should be able to work it's about being fair, why would I hire a white person with no experience and bypass a black person with experience or vice versa. Milwaukee is a big city and I'm just amazed at this company for going out of its way not to hire minorities. They had a big city contract and I think somthig was said about this matter of no minorites were seen on the job site so to shut them up he hired a black receptionist. If no one sees a problem with what i'm trying to say well maybe i'm the one that is wrong.

Perhaps there have been no qualified applicants who are minorities. If they do not apply, they can not be interviewed. As an employer I would rather have people who are competent than feel like I have met some hiring quota.

35 is not a large number of employees.

let me start out by saying I am not a racist. I support diversity in all forms. However, I am tired of people trying to engineer diversity. The NJ state police is trying to do it and it is failing horribly. They changed their tests and hiring process to target minorities. Minorities get hired before anyone else. And you know what? The majority get fired or quit within months. With jobs, it shouldn't be an issue of race. It should be an issue of who performs best on the job. After all, if everyone was truly equal, race wouldn't be the issue. Stop the bullshit. Treat everyone the same and ignore race.

Stop whining and do your job. It's not your place to worry about what is or isn't hired or fired. The person who owns the company is free to hire anyone they want, whether they or qualified or not. If you can't live with that, maybe you should work someplace else.

If the black applicants talk and spell like you no wonder there are only two.
