Its pretty normal for an adult to watch anime. It takes you to another world altogether, releaves you of everyday tensions. Basically a stress buster.

There's nothing wrong with grown ups watching anime, and in fact, some anime ARE for adults. Also, this just shows that "growning old is inevitable, growning up is optional."

I'm a grown-up person who still loves to watch anime, so if I said I didn't like them, that'd be pretty hypocritical of me.

I'm an adult and still love to watch anime so I don't think there is anything wrong with it. Besides, anime isn't just for kids. Some of it is specifically geared toward adults.

Just because you have aged past childhood does not mean you can not play and have just as many toys and loves of the things you grew up with as any kids or teens of today.
My motto is: I may be getting older but I refuse to grow up! Ask my grand-kids, I have toys and they love it! They are teens as well as toddlers. They know I will play anything they play. I do not collect Beatle cards anymore but that doesn't mean I don't like them still!!
It has nothing to do with age or mentality. I have a B plus average in college right now,

I haven't been a kid for a very long time, and I love anime anyway. (I'm 32 years old) I really think it just means you're more open minded than most so-called "grown ups."

I've been a super robot anime fan from Mazinger Z to Gundam Seed Destiny, and a sentai/ranger fan from Himitsu Sentai Goranger to Gougou Sentai Boukenger with no plans of hanging my OTAKU hat.
And they're a great way of learning japanese too ;-)

Normal people who love a good story and art. A lot of anime has adult themes and serious stories, even the children's ones.
Examples
Naruto - abused as a child, has a demon stuck inside of him, the manga is quite bloody
Inuyasha - his ex wants him to die and go to hell with her
Cowboy Bebop - bounty hunters in space, gambling, etc
samurai X - Bloody, lots of killing, about a man who swore never to kill again
