My brother, when he was about 4 years old, complained one morning that he hadn't been able to sleep because ' the little boy at the end of his bed wouldn't let go of his foot and leave him alone.' The little boy, he said, wore a checked shirt and a 'cap like Grampa's' - that is, a flat cap. Bear in mind that, at 4 years old, a child is not likely to understand about ghosts.
My mother left the house once to take my brother to school and came back about 20 minutes later to find that one of his little wind up cars with an elastic band motor was stuck against the radiator, unable to move any further, as if it had just been let go of.
Things seem to get lost fairly regularly and turn up in odd places. I once found my pencil case UNDER MY PILLOW. Falling asleep one night, I heard someone breathe very loudly in my ear. THis ahppened on two seperate occassions, and the first time, when I closed my eyes, I felt I could see the impression of a face on my eyelids, like after you've been looking at the sun.
Sometimes, when I am playing the piano, I am sure that someone walks behind me through the dining room, as if they are going from the kitchen and into the hall. THe same happens in the living room off the hallway. I have, on occassions, heard a dress rustling, as if someone is walking past. Sitting at the computer, I feel as if someone is standing in the doorway. I have often thoguht that my brother is reading over my shoulder when there is really no one there.
We have some very odd draughts that come and go, though that could just be the wind.
No one in my house ever really talks about this, but I think we all feel it. It is not unpleasant, it just feels as if people other than us are in the house.

Yes many times, they will not hurt you, and if you think you have heard a voice then speak out and talk asking who is there, the chance is you won't get an answer, but you never know, I hear them all the time, and speak to them. if you want to read about more ghost contact check the answers here because this question is asked more than once a week, so there should be plenty to read

Actually I live with one. My spiritual guide Micheal. voices are a common indication you may have a ghost. so are cold spots (assuming your not in a draft or under an air conditioning vent). I regullarly have tv channels flip particularly if I'm angry and objects move. I also have a tendancy to have power flickers and I'm reasonalbly sure since I just bought a new house (as in i'm the first owner) that it's not an electrical problem.

Yes. The man that lived in this house before me died while underneath the house in the basement area. I see a figure of a man standing in the laundry room, directly above the basement and he is wearing blue/Grey coveralls. I also smell cigarette smoke (I don't smoke) and hear someone hacking and wheezing, as though trying to catch their breath. The dogs won't go into the laundry room or the bathroom but stand there, and bark viciously.

Yes. Once when I was younger several years ago. I saw three shadowy images over my bed at different times of the night. I felt like Scrooge getting visited by three ghosts.

I live with 2. We have two houses stuck together. They're semi detached but we knocked walls and we have one ghost in the nice part of the house and one in the old part of the house. They're both friendly. The one in the nice part of the house lives in my sister's bedroom and he just walks through u and dosen't bother u. and the other one lives in the old part of the house where all the other bedrooms are and if u go down the long hall and get to the last bedroom u can smell bacon and cabbage cooking and smoke from a pipe. and anyway the man who lived in the old part killed himself years before we bought the house.

Yeah I have seen several. Years ago we lived in a maisonette and a young boy kept appearing he wore a blue shirt, black trousers and shoulder Length hair, I thought it was my imagination but one night me and my fella were saying good night and he saw him too. The ghost used to move around the house and move chairs so they would scrape along the floor.

In another house I lived in I used to see the previous occupant in various places, he would appear to be going up the stairs and I saw him on several occasions in the back yard. I can remember him vividly he was wearing black trousers, white collarless shirt with his braces hanging down by his sides. Hope I haven't spooked you too much sleep well.

yes "my mother was always asked by her patients who was that lovely nurse in the old uniform?"
yet the hospital staff hadn't used that uniform since 1963.
and one night after a good rest she entered a ward and saw the nurse. and before she could confront her the mysterious nurse disappeared of course she thought she was going nuts but all the patients in the ward confirmed what she saw.
after looking through records they discovered that the nurse was killed when heavy machinery pushed her from the 5th floor window.
