They're the same, usually. The Americans seem to be more polite and friendlier. I was stunned when they said: How are you? I'd tell them not realising they were just being polite!
I think the Brits are more patient. There is nothing worse than an arrogant Brit, though. I think they're much more violent and aggressive, too. The Brits are used to living in small houses while the Americans aren't!!!!
American food has strange things in it, like marshmallows and jelly in savoury dishes. Their buffets have spaghetti and macaroni cheese. English food is much plainer - not as much variety.

A Brtitish citizen ir more likely to be of Indian or Pakistani origin than a U.S. citizen. A U.S. citizen is more likely to be of Chinese, Japanese, or Korean origin than a British citizen. A Black British citizen is more likely to be a first- or second-generation immigrant from Africa or the Caribbean compared to a Black American. A U.S. citizen is more likely to have Spanish-speaking parents or grandparents.
U.S. citizens do not rely on NHS, since there is no such thing in the U.S. The British queue happily, the Americans have no patience for lines. The British think the Americans talk funny, the Americans think the British do.

ads_the_devil must be blind and deaf. I've seen so many fat, bloated, badly dressed repulsive Brits in my six years of living here. Football hooligans anyone...???
Brits and Americans, despite their small differences, are basically the same. Different accents yes but there are loads of similiarities. Bad dress sense and obesity are just two similiarities. *lol*
As far as being loud goes go on holiday to Greece or Spain and see how many loud-mouthed Brits you run into. Tons of them!!

I think the most important difference, is that NOBODY in the US would ever consider putting beans on toast!
We also have Public Schools that are completely government supported (but no universal health coverage), broadcast TV without a license fee, 120 VAC 60 Hertz outlets for all our appliances, both cold and hot water that is at the mains pressure instead of using cisterns, and we drive on the right side of the street.

Most Brits were born in Britain. Most US citizens weren't. They're all immigrants from other countries, including our forefathers who were originally Brits themselves.

But talking about Brits....there are differences between the English, the Welsh, The Scots and The Irish.......I don't classify myself as a Brit!!
When an American asks me where I am from...and I say Wales...they reply Ohh Gee..so you're English!.....I shrug it off....and I say...Oh Gee...so you must be Canadian!!!

Brits don't talk about there problems from 10yrs ago all the time :-) Americans are more confident, louder and complain more, but are sometimes a bit more friendly because they are less reserved.
