AOL Mail switching...?

Question

Is it possible to send somebody an email on AOL and then later on relace that letter with another one?

I think someone sent me an email, and I read it, I'm sure of it, and then like a week later I went to read it again and it was the same email;; but it had a different message.

yes, i experienced it once and thought i made a mistake. my friend had the same experience, so no harm done, i guess =)
