The cons are going to be the same that you went through with the community college for the most part. An additional one could be if the 4 year school does not accept all of your CC credits. That could result in your repeating some classes.
The biggest pro when you get done school is going to be your marketability and the salary you receive. That little piece of paper goes a long way! Also, you will have a much easier time moving up the corporate ladder if you so choose. If you can afford it, deal with the headaches involved with being a parent and a student and think you can tolerate 3-4 more years of school then go for it! It will pay off in the end.

no the sector won't result in 2012 Bees are a ways from being exstinct. And no the top of the sector won't come as a theif within the night time that's a misquote of scripture. That is the rapture for his men and women. The rapture will come swiftly so he tells his servants to be equipped. Mat 24:forty two Watch hence: for ye understand now not what hour your Lord doth come. Mat 24:forty three But understand this, that if the goodman of the apartment had recognized in what watch the thief could come, he could have watched, and could now not have suffered his apartment to be damaged up. Mat 24:forty four Therefore be ye additionally equipped: for in such an hour as ye believe now not the Son of guy cometh. Mat 24:forty six Blessed is that servant, whom his lord while he cometh shall discover so doing. Mat 24:50 The lord of that servant shall are available in an afternoon while he looketh now not for him, and in an hour that he's now not conscious of, Mat 24:fifty one And shall reduce him asunder, and hire him his element with the hypocrites: there will be weeping and gnashing of enamel. The servant now not equipped for the rapture on the Lord's coming will discover his location with the depraved.

PROS: more money, better future for kids, more opportunity for you, happier, greater sense of self-worth, self-esteem booster, rub it in HS enemies faces that you graduated college with children in tow and they're still working at the local gas station...ha ha suckers!! state aid to help with tuition, be able to use as weapon against your kids when they say they can't hack it in school without children or a job, more stability for your family, an all around happier you.
CONS: less time with children while in school, hard work for 2 more years, less sleep, less money for now, exams, books, lectures, papers, headaches, long nights, caffeine addiction, bags under eyes, bald spots in your head.
Seriously though. Go for it. What do you have to lose? Nothing, and that Assoc isn't going to get you far. Getting a BS in Business will get you far, and when your kids are grown a little more and a little less dependent on you, you can get your MBA and be really secure. Take night courses or get a degree online. Atleast try. If you decide you can't hack it, atleast you gave it your best shot right?

Getting your four year degree has historically shown to be a better way to get a better, higher paying job. If you can afford the time and money to complete your business degree you will be better off for it.
Not only will it help you in running a business such as a hotel or a resort but will help you advance more quickly through the ranks of those companies.

From experience, I would recommend that if you are able and willing, you should go on to get a four-year degree as soon as you can. While higher education does correlate with higher salaries, I firmly believe higher education also gives you a better quality of life and that's very important.
It sounds like there's nothing stopping you from getting your bachelor's degree other than your decision. My opinion is that you should take advantage of your situation and get the four-year degree while that option seems wide open. Many people don't have that option to go on in college for various reasons--often because they find themselves too bogged down with other responsibilities but also for other reasons. If you can go on in school now, I would recommend you take that opportunity.

A degree in business with the courses you have already taken in Hospitality Management will give you a lot of options.
Go for it -- it might be hard on you & your kids in the short run -- but in the long run, it will be a much better life for them.

What do you need to know other than the fact that employers will be twice as likely to hire someone with a Bachelors Degree as opposed to someone with just an Associates Degree?

The time and effort spent will pay off in self respect and higher salaries. However, you need to make sure that you spend the time needed to excel and finish. The worst thing would be to start and not finish.
