what to do in dumaguete...any interesting? or other nearby towns? or good places to visit...

In Dumaguete? SIlliman University campus. Perdices Street, with all of the stores and restaurants. The Boulevard is really pretty at night, at least from what I remember.
Many resorts/restaurants north and south of town. I and my relatives have visited Santa Monica and South Seas on occasion. The Manjuyod-Bais City sandbar just offshore, where there are a few beachhouses for rent. Further inland is Valencia, where there's a hot spring.

Dumaguete city is a very quiet place... laid back... If you want night life you wont get much, but lots of nice beaches and nearby islands there, you can go island hopping, scuba diving, whale watching or other water activities.. or you can simply enjoy the provincial life....
