Black should absolutely NOT be banned.
However, songs from anyone (black, white, yellow, it doesn't matter) that promote violence and sex SHOULD be banned.

In the 80's and 90's, legislature attacked the hard rock and metal bands promoting murder. And the prosecution won.

They need to do this again to the music now a days.

All musical types speak of social issues
Jamies Got a gun by Aerosmith--a song about child molestation
Mack the Knife by Bobby Darin a song about a mafia kiing
She Bop by Cyndi Lauper about masterbation

the amazing thing about music is that if you are offended by it you dont have to listen to it---I personally do not like most rap or as you say "black music". But without Blues and Jazz and Gospel from the early 1900s music would not be where it is today.

WoW! Anonymous racists in 2006! Why am I not surprised. If we banned "BLACK" music you would not be able to listen to rock music genius! It is also interesting how you equate black behavior with savage activities. Your picture needs to be in the dictionary next to the "Ignorant". Or let me put it in terms you might understand better, "Ig'nant".

If music was written on black paper, it would be difficult to read in a low-light situation, however, I don't think it should be banned -- that would be taking things to extremes.

I don't think it should be banned but i do think they should cut down on saying explicit things like rape, cocaine, etc. But it's just not 'Black music' that does this. You SHOULD'VE used a more general word like rap or something like that.
