The building burned in a fire. The records in the computer were destroyed by water and smoke and are unaccessable.

I would have to say that is discretionary, If you are a customer, ask the owner if they are planning on some sort of reimbursement.

If you are the owner of the Salon, there are 2 schools of thought that I can see you are either:

A. Going to re-open, and it will take some time to rebuild, and for the insurance to pay up and give you the money. You may want to not dismiss the minutes your customers have pre-paid, because if you re-open, you are going to need customers, why not keep the ones you have.

B. You are not going to re-open at all, this is where it is more discretionary, depending on how many people come pounding on the door, it might be good to contact the closest tanning salon, and see if they will honor your customers minutes, that way your customers have a place to tan, and the other Salon gains new customers.

None. They are not requiring you to stay in there for a designated amount of time-they actually ask you how much time you want on the machine. There are warnings posted all over about the use of tanning devices.

None. You use a tanning bed at your own risk and often are required to sign a release.
