Maybe if they would of drafted Bush

No, and I'll tell you why. As good as an offensive coordinator that Gary Kubiak was, he has zero head coaching experience, and he doesn't have the personnel yet to make his scheme from Denver work. #1 reason for that, not enough good depth at RB. why did they pass on Reggie Bush? Domanick Davis has been having knee problems the past two seasons. Training camp just started, and he's already experiencing swelling in his knee. The Texans are pretty lacking in RB depth. No running game=not a very good passing game=David Carr spending lots of time on his back, just like last season. I'm sure Mario Williams will be good in time, and I'm sure he'll make the Texans D a lot more competitive. The only problem I have is it doesn't matter how good their D is, because their offense will be that bad. I know there have been a few teams in the past that fit that mold, and still won games, but those were teams that were used to winning. The Texans have yet to have a winning season, and it looks like they'll still be waiting after this season as well. Texans will finish 5-11.

It's unlikely but I wouldn't say imposible. They did nothing to hurt themselves in the offseason minus not drafting Bush. They brought in 4 or 5 GOOD starters on defense. Also they drafted 2 starters on their o-line which will open up the running game and take more pressure off of Carr. Kubiak as the O-coordinator in Denver has had a 1000 yard rusher the last 8 years or something like that. That pressure off of Carr will allow him to get the ball out to the recently aquired Moulds, and that tight end they got (Putzier I believe?). If they can pick up a few wins they shouldn't get, win the games they can and upset a game or two I think they could make it. A lot will have to go right though.

It all depends on how well their line blocks. Kubiak will bring a nice zone blocking scheme that if executed well can turn anyone into a 1000 yards rucher. They have talent at the offensive skill positions and are actually pretty talented on d. Overall 6-10 is more likely, but if they block well and catch a couple breaks they could have a slim shot at .500

No, but they'll be better (they can't really be worse...)

Not drafting Bush was OK. Decent running backs are not so hard to find these days, I think. Gary Kubiak would know that all too well coming from Denver's effective plug-in-a-new-running-back-whenever system. As a Denver fan, I'm telling you that Kubiak knows what he's doing offensively. Houston will improve, but their division is too tough for a .500 record this year, methinks.

They fixed a lot of problems with the draft and free agency now it is up to David Carr to prove to Houston that he should still be there and not Vince Young who I belive had a better chance than Reggie Bush to get drafted 1st overall pick.

I think it's going to be tough. They better hope Mario Williams is another Reggie White or they will be crucified for passing on Reggie Bush. Of course they needed to upgrade the OL as David Carr has been getting the crap knocked out of him for the last 4 years. I say 5-11.

No. They don't have the brains to draft the best tailback in the game over the last 30 years over a DT. They'll be gagging on about 10 losses this year if not more.

Sure, they have added a number of talented players and are lead by a good coach. With the addition on the O-Line and Eric Moulds and Andre Johnson, HELL YEAH THEY GONNA BE GOOD

GO TEXANS!
