U MUST SHOP!!!
downtown mag mile (& state street) will have all u need!
U MUST MUSEUM!!
The Museum Campus is a scenic 57-acre lakefront park that connects three of Chicago's world-class institutions - the Adler Planetarium & Astronomy Museum, The Field Museum and the John G. Shedd Aquarium. The Campus unifies the three museums into a collective destination with more than four million visitors each year. The Museum Campus grounds feature terraced gardens, lush green spaces and broad walkways, which provide an easy and scenic route to the three museums. This setting allows the museums to extend their teaching outdoors, working with the Chicago Park District and the City of Chicago to provide educational and recreational programming that combines learning and fun.

Free trolley service between the three museums and surrounding parking lots is provided every day year-round. Museum Campus Chicago manages transportation and visitor service issues on behalf of the three museums as well as the programming and promotion of the park space.

Each museum has enjoyed increasing attendance thanks to the popularity of attractions such as the StarRider™ Theater at the Adler Planetarium, the Field Museum's Sue, the world's largest and most famous T.rex and Amazon Rising at the Shedd Aquarium. The Campus is a powerful vehicle, reaching millions of local, national and international visitors each year.

The Museum Campus is accessible by foot, bike, roller blades, taxi, water taxi, car and public transportation.

For up-to-date information on museum programming, hours, parking information and much more, go to www.museumcampus.org.

U MUST EAT GOOD!!!
there are too many great places to eat for me to list
www.metromix.com will help guide u. I personally recommend Giarno's Pizza. It's right next to the Sears Tower!!

U MUST PARTY!!!
www.metormix.com or www.cityalert.com will help u find the right club for u

U MUST RELAX!!!
our lakefront will help u do that. take the boat ride 30 min tour or the double decker bus tour. both will help u see all the downtown has to offer and will provide great pictures!

PS. If u plan to go to the top of Sears Tower or John Hancock, I recommend John Hancock. Its view is 10 times better!!

When I went years ago, there was,Pizza Uno, which was pretty good pizza and one night we went to an upscale restarant, which was fun. We also went to the observation deck of the John Hancock tower, I think it was the 67th floor and looked at the city from that vantage point, it was really pretty. Oh,yeah, shed's aquarium is fun, also, the museum of natural history. It will just show you some interesting things and give you a feel for the city.

Also, just the traffic itself will present some interesting situations. You'll see stuff you would not see at home, be careful in Chicago cross walks, because some cars will just keep coming. Assert yourself tell them to stop.

You can visit Lincoln Park and walk along beautiful Lake Michigan, the ONLY lake in the world that opens directly into the ocean, visit the museums and the aquarium is a MUST for a first visits to that great city. I was born and grew up there but have not seen it in nearly 10 ten years, tell it hello for me and enjoy your visit to the greatest city in America. There are Pizza places and Irish Taverns on most ever corner. Pizza was INVENTED in Chicago, so it's IS the best you'll ever taste.

Lincoln Park Zoo (small, free and right on the lakefront) and Chicago Architectural Foundation tours (cheap walking tours daily, plus a very good boat tour on the Chicago River) are two of my favorites

Wrigleyville and Lakeview, the neighborhoods surrounding Wrigley Field, are great for people watching, dining, and shopping. Clark, Broadway, Halsted & Southport are all great streets to simply browse through.

Chicago's largest microbrewery, Goose Island, is always a popular destination before or after the Cubs game (3535 N Clark St).

I'd also recommend heading to Julius Meinl on Southport & Addison, a Viennese cafe -- they have terrific pastries, coffee and tea, and it's a quick walk from the ballpark.
www.meinl.com/southport/home.html

Another great place to check out is the area around Armitage & Halstead, where there's tons of great restaurants like Sai Cafe and Minnies, plus great shopping and some of the city's best chocolatiers: Ethel's Chocolate Lounge (819 W Armitage) and Vosges (951 W. Armitage), which are must-dos. Argo Tea Cafe (958 W Armitage) is a small but pleasant place to cool off with a mojitea -- iced mint tea with fresh lime juice.

Andersonville is another very fun neighborhood, which boasts The Hopleaf (5148 N Clark), recently voted one of the Best 50 Places To Have A Beer In America. They have very good French bistro fare, too. Also in Andersonville, a BYOB restaurant with some of the city's best sushi:Tanoshii (5547 N. Clark); be sure to try at least one of Sushi Mike's special rolls. Rioja (5101 N. Clark) has great tapas and cocktails.

My Pie isn't usually recognized among the top Chicago-style pizza places. Gino's East, Lou Malnati's and Pizzerias Uno and Due tend to be the most popular. Personally, I prefer Piece (1927 W North Ave) in Bucktown (also a microbrewery), Spacca Napoli (1769 W. Sunnyside Ave) in Ravenswood, or Pizza D.O.C. (2251 W. Lawrence) in Lincoln Square; but none of them serve "Chicago-style" pizza, just great pizza. Bucktown & Lincoln Square are two other terrific neighborhoods for hanging out, people-watching, dining and shopping, though.

Whatever you do, be sure to pick up a copy of the Reader, Chicago's free weekly paper, which has listings of all the music, theatre, dance, gallery and film goings-on, or check it out at www.chicagoreader.com.

Well, since you are not into the club scene. I think Navy Pier would be a great place to see. It is the absolute perfect date spot and for pizza in Chicago be sure to check out Giordano's or Chicago Oven Grinders located @ 2121 N. Clark. Enjoy your visit.
