i've tried "steam" -- they usually sell those in the drugstores, the heated water vapor opens up your pores, making it a lot easier to clean more deeper with a facial scrub (apricot scrub) -- followed by a cool clay mask to cool it down -- it's very refreshing. but nothing beats a facial that is professionally done in spas.

Get you a good exfoliating wash cloth or scrubbing brush and use it EVERY day with your soap or shower gel and then three times a week or so use a body scrub and exfoliate your whole body. I love Bliss Labs Hot Salt Scrub and if I really want to feel soft, I use their Purifying Soap Salt first and scrub that off with the Hot Salt Scrub....you will not believe how soft your skin gets after doing that treatment.......

St Ives apricot scrub is cheap. I use it on my body only, not face. For face, try Olay microdermabrasion scrub kit. You can also use sugar and honey, if youre really in a pinch.
