i really fancy this boy but i am WAY to scared to ask him out. i find that my schoolwork is going of course because i am aways looking at him and daydreaming about him in lessons. i am 12 years old and i dont know what to do

Sounds to me like you have a lot more to loose by not asking him out, than if you just went ahead and got it over with. Who knows he might even say yes! And if he says no at least you can get on with your life. I understand the fear of rejection in case he says no, couldn't you kind of confide in a 'friend' who you know can't keep it quiet so he gets to know - of course he might be shy and prefer if you just bumped into him, said hello and then asked what he was doing and could you tag along. I know it sounds really old of me to say - but at 12 years old, and even when your much older like me) you have a long life in front of you, even if it does not work out with this boy there will be others that come along - what you have to remember is that people will come and go in your life. You will always be there so always make sure you look after yourself and do what will make your future a healthy and happy one - even if that means having to concentrate on schoolwork..... and daydream later Good Luck

I know it's hard, but just TELL HIM! I'm 26, and I don't mind telling my friends I LOVE them, or a guy I like that I LIKE HIM. I've been dumped for this, but WHO CARES??? That's THEIR LOSS! ahhhhh i fancied a boy when i was at school (im 43 now) and fancied him FOR SIX WHOLE YEARS AND NEVER SAID A THING...dont do the same as me - just smile at him and get talking to him as a friend to start things off. remember boys dont mature as quickly as girls do so take it easy and good luck.

It is normal to feel the way you do at your age. Just try talking to him, nothing too heavy, just a friendly chat and a laugh at first, to see if you like him. Then suggest you go to the cinema or somewhere.
