im not referring to the 12 colors found on the theme settings of PSP, i have downloaded themes like MAC and Windows for PSP and it has a lot of files in it but it doesnt have the how-to's. do i need a homebrew apps to be able to use it?

What version of firmware are you running? The most recent will not allow you to run it. But yes you need to be running homebrew.

Nintendo DS... I nevertheless have the classic 1st gen silver brick of a DS and use it for video games like Golden sunlight, very final fantasy, Wario Ware and Kingdom Hearts. i like it. PSP has on no account quite grabbed my liking

on the menu go to system setings than themes and pick the colors, if you mean get them off the internet you better have good memory to download them off the psp website
